| Our Worship!!! We clap our hands and shout because: Psalm 47:1 "O clap your hands all ye people, shout unto God with a voice of triumph." We lift our hands because: Psalm 63:4 "Thus I will bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in Thy Name." We have audible praise unto God because: Hebrews 13:15 "By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name." We sing choruses as well as hymns because: Ephesians 5:18-19 "And be not drunk with wine, but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." We annoint with oil and pray for the sick because: James 5:14 Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, annointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." We audibly pray for each others needs because: Matthew 18:19 "Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." The Church prays in Concert because: Acts 4:24 "And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, Thou art God, which hast made heaven and earth." We have manifestations of Gifts of the Holy Spirit because: I Corinthians 12:7-11 "But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good...to one is given word of wisdom...to another word of knowledge...to another faith...to another gifts of healings... to another the working of miracles...to another prophecy...to another discerning of spirits...to another tongues...to another interpretation of tongues. But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will." Other forms of acceptable worship include: Acts 3:8 Leaping and Praising God "And he leaping up stood and walked and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God." 2 Samuel 6:14 Dancing "And David danced before the Lord with all his might." Exodus 15:20 "And Miriam the prophetess...took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances." Ultimately, we believe in worship that we should: 1 Corinthians 14:40 "LET ALL THINGS BE DONE DECENTLY AND IN ORDER". |
